Classic Film Friday: The Awful Truth

So I figure with all the infidelity going around lately (Tiger Woods, John Edwards, David Letterman) maybe a classic film would set the mood right. Well this 1937 screwball comedy is about a couple's divorce. Irene Dunne is Lucy Warriner and Cary Grant as Jerry Warriner and they love each other.... yet hate each other (or vice versa).

The couple goes through a divorce and as you would guess (with the movie being made in 1937 and all) gets back together again. Except along the way, they both have to get rid of the other's "date" and they have to realize that they are each others "one and only". Watch as these two people figure out what everyone else already sees. This is a witty, and sometimes down right laugh out loud funny movie is just the thing.

We saw this on the Roku, I'm sure it is available on DVD as well. If only real love affairs were this simple... oh well, that is Hollywood.
