This week my wife's brother, also known as my brother-in-law, and his wife and daughter were down visiting us. I like them, they are great, and I can honestly say that I have nothing but good things to say about them. But the whole take a trip down here, lets go see this, what about that? Plus 100+ degree temperatures, well it makes one need a moment to chance his/her breath. I think I am going to fall asleep all weekend. Well I wish anyway...

Um, know the feeling.
I do everything I can to not leave my property. I love it here; plus I have soooo much to do and never enough strength or daylight. But my daughter and her fiancee are coming the end of July... I love them; they are really good and smart people and fun to have around. But, no, I DON'T want to go to Mt Rushmore again, ride the train,go to the Waterworld in Hot Springs - all 4 hours away from my house, my critters, my garden, and everything I moved here FOR.I'd have to spend the night and that makes me grumbly. I don't even want to go to the river to go tubing or boating, or to 'town' to eat fancy food. I don't need or want excitement. I can spend all day on my verandah, sewing upstairs, or in my ceramics shop downstairs, and be perfectly happy. I wish they could do the same.. but I'll go anyway. Sigh.
